What is one question you think candidates should be prepared to answer in an interview?

Why are you interested in Osler Vancouver?

Does your firm offer a rotation? If so, what does it look like for summer students and articling students?

In the Vancouver office, we offer a rotation for articling students but summer students do not follow a rotation. The close-knit office means that you are working with a diversity of lawyers on a variety of subject matters throughout your summer and articling roles. You are also encouraged to seek out work in areas of law you are interested in and establish relationships with the lawyers in our Vancouver office.

What is one piece of advice you would give a lawyer early in their career?

Be passionate, curious and willing to take initiative. Lawyers enjoy teaching and mentoring students so do not be afraid to ask questions to continue your learning.
